Cartoneria 2023

The North Riverside Park Mall Cartoneria Exhibition featured 3 artists-in-residence restoring 20 paper mache sculptures, some as large as an SUV, with the help of the community. The 6 month exhibition was in conjunction with the Mexican Cultural Center/DuPage.

 

Gather mural

Local phenomenon Emmy Star Brown and her team created a feature wall at the Upper Level, Center Court. The 60’ mural represents the way our community gathers, shops and plays. Premiering November 2024, the wall adds a vibrant vibe. Brown’s recent murals can also be found at Coach on Michigan Avenue, the United Airlines Headquarters and The Dylan in Chicago. Upper level atrium between Pink and Zales.

The art piece “Connections” was designed by local Chicago artist Oxana Belka and originally exhibited in Black Rock City dessert at the Burning Man Festival. The 5 art piece represents the human experience. See the exhibit for yourself, featured at Entrance 3.

Art Wall

8 Chicagoland muralists created unique artwork, featured on the Art Walls in Upper and Lower Center Court. Artists, including Javier Torres, Fernando Caldero, Joe Miller and more, created images representing our city, the unique nature of art and their personal character.
