Yollocalli Arts Reach - Kicks as Canvas

Yollocalli Arts Reach, the youth initiative of the National Museum of Mexican Art, in cooperation with Foot Locker, proudly showcases its creations to celebrate NRPM’s 50th anniversary. This collection of AF1 sneakers has been transformed into wearable art by talented student artists. Each pair showcases a story of creativity and cultural perspective, inspired by themes of Latino heritage, Chicago, pop culture and mall memories.

Yollocalli Arts Reach is an award-winning youth initiative, offering free arts and culture programs to teens and young adults ages 14-24. Located in Chicago’s Little Village, the Yollocalli Fire Station serves as a community center with studio spaces, a recording studio, art library, event space and an incredibly creative staff to encourage, inspire and strengthen students’ creative and cultural capital."
