Morton East High School

Art Display | Mall Management Hallway

Under the direction of Ms. Dure and Ms. Blanco, the Morton East High School students created a unique interpretation of art pieces that now illuminate the NRPM Management hallway. Mrs. Dure’s assignments were completed in acrylic paint. The silhouette project was about mixing and matching colors to a reference photo and then adding silhouette images that created a focal point using the rule of 1/3's. The paintings with quotes were about quotes, song lyrics, poems, or phrases that student find meaningful. They chose a color scheme that was to help enhance the meaning of the text. Find the Morton East artwork in the upper level, next to the House of Hoops and The Children’s Place, along the Management corridor hallway.
