Gifts from Liam provides education, services, and resources to at-risk parents in an effort to save babies. Founder Anna Calix started the initiative in 2017 to honor her first son, Liam Angel who was born still on his due date. Her bereavement transitioned into a nonprofit organization that provides services to underserved communities to reduce pregnancy loss and infant death through education and systems change, including diaper drives. GFL also provides grief support for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. Gifts from Liam have touched the lives of hundreds of families throughout Chicagoland and distributed more than 150,000 diapers.
